1 1/2 Cups Milk

6 Large Eggs

3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1 1/2 Cups Flour

Crisco Shortening

 Preheat oven to 450* F.

Grease the pans with Crisco. ( yes...even if using non stick pans )

Whisk together milk, oil and flour in medium mixing bowl.

Add eggs 1 at a time and mix into batter.

Spoon the batter into the pan, filling each cup about half full.

Use middle oven rack and have no other racks above that.

(they rise high, and the rack would be in the way)

Bake 16-20 minutes ( or until browned )

Take out and poke holes into each popover with a fork or toothpick.

Place back into oven for 5 more minutes.

Serve right away with butter, honey, jam or preserves.

( This recipe is for use with the new non-stick popover pans. If using

cast iron popover pans, heat your pans in the oven a little before

putting the Crisco on the pans.  Be generous with the Crisco. )
