Division Training Office issued a Medical Self-Help Kit

Division IX in conjunction with Division VIII created a HAM network

Mid-year Conference at Page, Arizona. Brain-storming sessions, seminars, and training workshops with 43 in attendance

December

6 - 8

District Conference hosted by Division IX at the glamorous Sands Castaway Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fifteen workshops and two general assemblies. Special meetings for Division Captains, Vice Captains, Flotilla Commanders, Secretaries, and Treasurers. Special activities included a tour of Hoover Dam, a Lake Mead Cruise and a look behind the scenes at the Mint Casino

 

NOTES

The chartering of virtually the entire inland area of District Eleven the previous year now required vigorous follow-up with conferences and training in every aspect of Auxiliary membership. All of these seminal efforts were sufficient to "lock in" the foundations that had been set for the "Desert Coast Guard".
